The Pavilion at Port Orange, a CBL project designed by Artech, is featured in a national publication.
Shopping Centers Today, the national retail trade publication, led a recent issue with a cover story on sustainability. In the associated article, The Pavilion at Port Orange, a new CBL developed, 500,000 square foot lifestyle center was featured for components of its design that are “green” focused.
According to the article, The Pavilion “will feature a water-use-reduction system that reclaims air-conditioner condensation for use in flushing toilets. A retention pond will be part of an irrigation system that adjusts to soil moisture. Carbon dioxide sensors in the air ducts will gauge the presence of people and reduce the amount of ventilation required at unoccupied times. The roof and wall insulation will exceed minimum LEED standards.”
These design components will help CBL adhere to its commitment to green initiatives under its corporate-wide sustainability program.
The design of The Pavilion at Port Orange includes 137,000 square feet of national retailer anchors, 75,000 square feet of national department stores, a theater and restaurants.
