Chattanooga Kidney Centers LLC Announces New State of The Art Renal Dialysis Center

Monday July 30, 2007

Chattanooga Kidney Centers LLC (CKC) recently executed plans on a new dialysis center to be developed in the Northern area of Chattanooga, TN.  This will be the second dialysis center for CKC and once completed, this $2 Million center will operate 28 patient stations and provide home hemodialysis training and support using state of the art technology and advanced clinical practices.

To achieve this, CKC enlisted the services of healthcare design firm Artech to create a concept that would maintain its brand and identity. Artech also designed the group’s  first center.

Nephrologists from Nephrology Associates, in Chattanooga will serve as Medical Directors.  The operating model of this state of the art center will follow that established by the original CKC dialysis center by centering the patient in each design and implementation process.
Each patient has an assigned station with individual television and technology access; ample space and lighting; HVAC design for patient consideration and comfort; and a unique staffing model that allows the same healthcare team to work with the same patients continuously.  A progressive clinical system includes vascular access monitoring, intervention, and imaging.
“Our physicians, who own and direct these centers, will continue to confer with the best quality independent programs throughout the United States and territories to seek and adopt best demonstrated practices.” said Steve McCormick, Chief Operating Officer of Chattanooga Kidney Centers. “We are confident of continuing the success of our first center by achieving quality patient outcomes and providing patient choice, which includes expanding our home hemodialysis training and support.  This treatment modality is not available elsewhere in this part of the Tennessee Valley Area.”

About Chattanooga Kidney Centers LLC - CKC is an independent, physician owned company.  First incorporated in 2001, the company was developed by a team of experienced nephrologists who wanted to build and operate patient-centered dialysis centers.  This progressive team has sought to improve the quality of care for patients with kidney failure by elevating clinical outcomes and expanding patient choice.
